The future of Jadon Sancho has been a regular talking point, with multiple European clubs keen on acquiring the talented winger.
Having enjoyed a profitable loan spell with Borussia Dortmund last term, the Manchester United player returned to action in Saturday’s pre-season meeting with Rangers.
With Erik ten Hag confirming positive conversations with the Camberwell man last week, the unlikely prospect of a reunion seemed possible.
However, the French publication Foot Mercato has exclusively revealed that Paris Saint Germain is keen on the Englishman and has made a contractual offer to the player.
Sancho is close to agreeing a move to PSG
Enduring the loss of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid has been a bitter pill for Les Parisiens.
However, in Sancho, the domestic kingpins have identified an opportunity to pounce on a precarious situation to advance their European conquest.
“The club from the French capital is close to concluding a contractual agreement with the 24-year-old English winger,” Santi Aouna states in the publication.
The respected journalist continued via his social media platforms by stating the 24-year-old “is extremely excited by the project presented by PSG.”
United are keen to recoup as much of the £73 Million transfer fee they shelled out for the Dortmund star in July 2021.
However, with talks at an advanced stage for PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, the prospect of a package deal is a genuine possibility.
Sancho’s talent is undeniable, but his temperament and personality suggest that a move away from the North West may present the most viable option for all involved.
The new sporting hierarchy in Manchester has highlighted a best-in-class approach with early transfer matters, sealing Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro in weeks.
With Ten Hag confirming a necessity for outgoings to continue bolstering his squad, a deal with the Ligue 1 side is very feasible.
How do you feel about the scenario, and would you like the Londoner to remain in Manchester?
