Manchester United will entertain Premier League football for the second consecutive Sunday, and the travelling Reds will be hoping for another strong showing against Fulham.
Although Ruben Amorim’s men failed to find a way past David Raya in a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, there were plenty of signs of cohesion and promise.
New boys Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo offered a thrilling brand of attacking swagger on their competitive debuts, with Benjamin Sesko getting in on the action during a promising cameo.
Marco Silva has installed a notable brand of tenacious football at Craven Cottage, and had a 97th-minute Rodrigo Muniz equaliser to thank for a share of the points at Brighton on the opening weekend.
Amorim is aware of the task awaiting in London, and while a growing sense of possibility is emerging in the North West, nobody will be taking this fixture for granted.

Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui both remain unavailable for selection. However, the pair are offering promise as they continue through individual rehabilitation schedules.
Andre Onana was omitted from the matchday squad against Arsenal and is available following a spell on the sidelines. The Cameroon international is eager for a return to the starting XI amid the prospect of an imminent move for Senne Lammens.
Expectedly, Amorim remained tight-lipped regarding his selection intentions when speaking to the media ahead of the fixture. “Onana is ready to play like last week, so we will see in the game who is going to be keeper,” he stated.
If anything, the former Sporting chief has somewhat of a selection headache with numerous players vying for minutes after a promising summer period.
Notably, Antonee Robinson missed out on the Cottagers’ 1-1 draw at Brighton as he continued on the road to recovery from a minor knee operation. He remains in contention to feature for Silva’s side.
United have won each of the previous eight Premier League away fixtures against Fulham and are looking to make club history by achieving an unprecedented nine against any opponent.
Additionally, the Londoners have only managed to win one of the previous 19 league games against the Reds, earning a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford in 2024.
It is well-documented that United have struggled in the capital in recent years, winning just three of the previous 23 games in all competitions. However, all of these came at Craven Cottage.
Interestingly, Fulham ended the 2024-25 campaign with three consecutive home defeats. Silva has never lost four in his managerial career.

Predicted Manchester United starting XI: (3-4-2-1): Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Bruno, Ugarte, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko.
