Having sealed a vital three points against Chelsea last time out, Ruben Amorim is aiming for consecutive Premier League victories for the first time when his Manchester United side travels to Brentford.
Despite significant changes in London, the Gtech Community Stadium has proven a difficult hunting ground in recent years, with the Reds having been unable to win in their previous three visits (L2, D1).
Keith Andrews’ side may have encountered difficulties of their own thus far, but The Bees are unbeaten at home with a partisan crowd to act as a 12th man during Saturday’s 12:30 fixture.
Amorim is aware of the task ahead but remains confident, hoping to channel momentum as he builds upon scaling the domestic ranks, with a glimmer of optimism surfacing within the supporter base.
It’s challenging to overlook the importance of this fixture, with a win potentially lifting United into the Champions League places.
Furthermore, with Sunderland to follow ahead of the second international break, we may be witnessing a crucial moment in time for the under-pressure tactician.

Unfortunately, Amad will not be travelling with the squad following a family bereavement, with the 23-year-old correctly permitted time to grieve.
“Amad is not here,” Amorim stated during his pre-match press conference.
“Someone in his family passed away, so we are giving all the support to Amad. We understand the importance for him, at this time, to return home [here].
“Nous [Noussair Mazraoui] is not going to be [available] until we stop for the international teams. He is out also.”
Casemiro is unavailable following his dismissal against Chelsea, with the veteran Brazilian set to serve his one-game suspension. Lisandro Martinez continues his rehabilitation following knee surgery.
However, Diogo Dalot is back in contention following an injury setback collected on international duty with Portugal. “Diogo is returning to the team,” Amorim told Mark Sullivan. “And he is ready.
“We have all the other players, so we are in a good moment to go to Brentford.”
Interestingly, since United claimed a 3-1 victory in Brentford in January 2022, the home side has won six of the seven Premier League encounters that followed, with one draw.
The Reds’ London troubles are well-documented in recent years, with 15 of the previous 24 trips ending in defeat (W3, D6).
Let’s hope the travelling contingent is rewarded with a memorable day out in the capital.
Predicted Manchester United starting XI: (3-4-2-1): Bayindir; De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro; Dalot, Ugarte, Bruno, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko.
