An injury-ravaged tour
Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund are both sidelined following injuries sustained during the meeting with Arsenal a week ago.
But fears over the availability of Marcus Rashford and Antony appear to be extinguished, with images of the forwards smiling and actively participating in preparations for the tie.
Toby Collyer and Harry Amass are both in contention to start, having impressed during their summer cameos, with Amad solidifying his undeniable talent throughout.
The perennial Community Shield is set for Saturday week (10 August) with a mouthwatering tie against Manchester City to come.
Ten Hag will have one eye on the Wembley outing, aiming to deliver an early message to their Manchester rivals and hoping to avoid further injuries this evening.
Carrington has welcomed several first-team stars back following their participation in Euro 2024 and Copa America, with Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho and Lisandro Martinez joining newly-signed Joshua Zirkzee.
The group will be unavailable for this evening’s fixture, with action starting at 19:45 local time and 00:45 BST.
