Manchester United made it two wins in three days, with Ruben Amorim leading his side to a comprehensive 4-0 Premier League victory over Everton.
Alongside a peaceful protest regarding ticket prices before and during the fixture, supporters were at least treated to a performance of old, as Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee and co ran riot.
The result moves the Reds to ninth in the table with a positive goal difference and only four points off the Champions League places.
With preparations underway for the trip to Arsenal on Wednesday, here are five talking points from an emphatic day at Old Trafford.
Zirkzee answers his critics
It’s safe to say the former Bologna star has had a hard time of it since his £36.5 million move in the summer.
Following a tremendous individual campaign that yielded Serie A’s Best Young Player award, Zirkzee had not scored since an opening-day win against Fulham.
However, deployed in a more familiar deeper role, the Dutch attacker was involved throughout, dictating matters in interplay across the final third.
His efforts were inevitably rewarded with a brace of goals and a smile that will hopefully remind his critics that he is indeed human.
There is an incredibly talented footballer in this 23-year-old. Some folk should understand that integration into a new country, lifestyle, climate, and team can often take time.
Rashford returning to form
It’s three goals in two Premier League outings for the Wythenshawe man as a familiar celebration was on show at the Theatre of Dreams.
Like Zirkzee, Rashford has been regularly criticised for his lack of attacking output with a host of media shamefully targetting his character for clicks daily.
But, as any supporter knows, a happy Marcus generally returns bundles of goals and is often unplayable.
Let’s hope this is the beginning of his rebirth in the North West.
Our magical Ivorian
What can we say about Amad Diallo that hasn’t already been said?
Two assists and another against Ipswich, alongside a formidable attacking display, have set the tone for an undroppable role at wing-back.
His pace, technique, creativity and belief are just some traits endearing the Stretford End to this 22-year-old prodigy.
He cuts the figure of a player who could slot in at centre-back and find a way.
Thank god he’s a Red!
A new structure and philosophy
It’s well-noted that Amorim is determined to harness the success achieved with a 343 structure in Portugal.
Naturally, when introducing a new style and philosophy, it takes time for individuals to come to terms with the requirements.
But game after game, we see advancements in positioning and movement, with the proof in the pudding at the final whistle.
These are positive times for United, and the impending return of Leny Yoro adds further excitement to the potential of this new-look side.
The magic of momentum
Yesterday’s win was a fifth in seven, with the side unbeaten since that forgettable day against West Ham in London.
With many critiques of individual players daily, people forget the talent that exists within this squad.
Amorim has inherited various options to accommodate his requests from back to front, with first-team options returning from injury daily.
That said, logical supporters are not getting ahead of themselves. There is an understanding of the task at hand.
But it’s a welcome sight to Navigate an undefeated November ahead of a titanic trip to North London on Wednesday.
