Stamford Bridge is the setting for Manchester United’s Under-18s National final with Chelsea.
Following an impressive campaign that saw Manchester United‘s Under-18s claim top honours in the Northern Premier League, the talented crop will face the Southern Premier League-winning Blues on Tuesday, May 14.
It is a just reward for Adam Lawrence’s side, who sealed a memorable campaign with victory over Wolves in April to confirm their name as Premier League champions ahead of fierce rivals Manchester City.
Additionally, Lawrence’s group had the final laugh in the Premier League cup, seeing off their City rivals by two goals to one at Leigh Sports Village, with first-team debutant Ethan Wheatley notching both goals in an enthralling game.
A Look at the Blues
United will face a confident Chelsea Under-18 side that impressed regularly throughout their domestic campaign.
The young blues clinched the Southern title for a fifth time with a victory against Southampton, winning by a scoreline of 2-1 and seeing off second-placed West Ham by way of five points.
With a host of the squad attracting attention within the Championship, the Premier League and abroad, Wheatley and co know they will be in for a battle at the Bridge.
